Today we learn collage design, as manual work, I can give full play to my imagination and feel happy. Through some creative collages, I don’t need to design every step very accurately, but I can let everyone clearly see my design concept and style, which is very interesting. We were then asked to collage the figures using pictures from the museum. Although these pictures seem to have nothing to do with clothing design, through some creative ideas, these various pictures can become fragments of design inspiration, which I attach to my models and eventually become my unique design. Moreover, the finished products are also amazing, which I didn’t expect before.

Then I began to do classwork. In the beginning, I had a lot of design inspiration and was very happy with my work, but by the time I made the fourth and fifth collage, I started thinking about how I could make my work not look vulgar — because I felt I had run out of inspiration in the first three collages! However, I shifted my thinking from one dimension to another and gained some fresh inspiration to fill my homework. In the end, I was satisfied with my achievements, but due to the limitation of time, I did not have time to think of more wonderful ideas. But in general, I am confident that I can do better through continuous learning in the future.

Through this class, I deeply realized how important inspiration is for a designer. Sometimes just a little inspiration bubble will make your works colorful and wonderful. In the following days, I will listen, watch and practice more, so that I will always have some novel inspiration, and apply them to my works.
