south kensington outing

We went to South Kensington for this outing. I mainly visited the V&A Museum and Harrods Department Store. In the V&A Museum, we were asked to draw 4 sketches. I love this process because I enjoy painting. In particular, the peaceful atmosphere of the museum is intoxicating to sit and paint. Tiffany and I moved chairs and sat in the China Pavilion painting porcelain. Because the porcelain is so beautiful, so exquisitely crafted, it’s really a privilege to see them up close. In the process of painting, I was once again struck by the exquisite details of these porcelain, which made me admire the craftsmanship of the skilled craftsmen of China in the past. In addition, we also went to the British Pavilion to appreciate the clothing and appliances of the Victorian period. Because I have always loved the elaborate clothes of the Victorian era, I was very excited when I came to this gallery. I also chose to work on my sketches in this showroom. I painted some instruments, especially a silver box used to hold surgical instruments. I was fascinated by the intricate patterns on it. It made it harder to draw, but I enjoyed it. After finishing our painting trip in the V&A Museum, we went to Harrods for our Customer Profiles and Shop Reports. At first I was afraid to speak directly to strangers, which caused me to miss a lot of people who had amazing outfits. But when I plucked up the courage to start a conversation with a stranger, everything went well. Most of the people were nice. They listened to my questions carefully and answered them patiently. I am very grateful to them and they gave me the courage to talk to strangers from now on.
