Today is my favorite class because we have the opportunity to design our own works. After the learning of the first few classes, we finally had the opportunity to actually integrate what we have learned into the design, which made me extremely excited.
In the first half of the course, the teacher gave us some inspiration, such as designing some bags, shoes, cosmetics, or magazine covers. Some embroidery techniques and jewelry can be combined to make the design more colorful. At this time, I have already conceived my ideas in my mind, from bags, shoes to ready-made clothing, I have conceived a general outline of each different design because I know that only by reading, learning, and thinking more can I make faster progress.
The next stage is the time to be creative. Before my own design, the teacher asked me several questions, such as the inspiration of the design, the reason for the color selection, the overall proportion and comfort degree, and the degree of customers’ love, etc. At that time, I found that completing a design was not as easy as I imagined. After careful consideration, I decided to design a dress. First of all, I think the dress is very operable, and I also have a lot of inspiration in the design of ready-made garments. Secondly, I also like to buy dresses, so in terms of customer satisfaction, I think I am confident that my dresses will be favored by most customers. Of course, I also encountered a lot of confusion and anxiety during the design process, but when I finalized the finished product, I was full of confidence in myself, I think this is the dress I want to look like.
After learning this class, I am more determined to design a piece of work. I think all designs need designers to devote a lot of effort. Only the more seriously you treat your design, the more perfect and popular your works will be.
