The outing is to Shoreditch. I’m really looking forward to this outing, because I’ve never been to East London before, and it’s a new experience for me. Since Janice said in class that we would stay outside all day, which would be completely different from the last outing to South Kensington, I put on my thickest coat to resist the wind and cold. When I came to Shoreditch, what impressed me most was the strong artistic atmosphere. It’s very different from west London, where I live. It feels more local and more free. The task of this outing is to find materials for completing customer profiles and shop reports. Based on my last experience on the floors of Harrods, I became a lot braver when interviewing people. I had the courage to talk to strangers, which is a good step forward. The interviewee who impressed me most was a girl. Although she is just a student, she has her own unique opinion on fashion. While her favorite brands are some fast fashion brands(probably based on students’ spending), she is creating her own unique style. I think this is the real fashion, blindly follow the behavior is not desirable. She was also very cheerful. She not only answered my questions seriously, but also took an Instagram story with me after the interview, which made me think she was really cute. In this interview, all the people I met were very nice. When they heard that I was a student from London College of Fashion and doing research for my homework, they supported my work very much and wished me success in my study after the interview, which moved me very much. I had not expected so much goodwill, even from a strange country.
